In this update, we are introducing character classes. They will consist of an active ability, a passive ability, and baseline stat changes. This feature will only be applied in Deathmatch mode.

  • Added 4 Character Classes
  • Added 5 new hair styles with 5 colors each & missing colors from existing ones
  • Every interactable tile [E] will now require a 0.2 seconds channeling time
  • Ice Projectiles stacks will now be refreshed when reapplied
  • Monsters' attack damage increased from 50 to 100
  • Added Finish tile to Adventure mode
  • Powerup sound effects changed
  • Fixed Match chat channels (/m)
  • Merged Sidebar Worlds & Editor buttons into Worlds button
  • Added Master & UI volume sliders in the Settings menu

Classes:

  • Assassin
    • Invisibility: Turn invisible for 4 seconds. Cooldown: 6 seconds
    • From the Shadows: Deal 100% bonus hit damage while invisible
    • Health: 50, Shield: 100, Speed: 105%
  • Rocketeer
    • Rocket Morph: Gain a buff for 2 seconds turning your projectiles into explosive ones, dealing 80 bonus damage. Rocket Launcher will instead shoot 3 projectiles per shot. Cooldown: 16 seconds
    • Blast Shield: Increase shield explosive damage resistance by 90%
    • Health: 100, Shield: 100, Speed: 100%
  • Gunslinger
    • Bullet Spray: Gain infinite projectiles and increase shooting speed by 100% for 1 second, instantly reload after it ends. Cooldown: 8 seconds
    • Quick Draw: Increase shooting speed by 30% and reload speed by 10%
    • Health: 100, Shield: 100, Speed: 100%
  • Warrior
    • Ignore Pain: Reduces health damage taken by 80% for 3 seconds. Cooldown: 15 seconds
    • Regenerative Shield: 200% of shield damage taken will now heal, increase shield regeneration speed by 5% per second
    • Health: 100, Shield: 120, Speed: 95%
  • Weapon balance changes
  • Doors now require a short channeling before teleporting (Player should not move in any way)
  • Improved Scoreboard (TAB), it now displays the world you are in and the match status
  • Fixed a bug that caused keys to be picked for every player
  • Fixed other player's weapons being slightly visible when they turn invisible
  • Fixed visually disappearing tiles
  • Fixed a bug causing resolution change to not apply properly
  • Fixed a bug causing worlds to get corrupted
  • A few other minor bug fixes & improvements
Weapons:

  • Blaster 
    • Damage increased from 25 to 60
  • Lazer 
    • Damage increased from 45 to 80
  • Pistol 
    • Damage increased from 30 to 50
  • Rifle 
    • Damage increased from 20 to 30
  • Added duration bars below buff and debuff icons
  • Modified UI for projectile info
  • Improved collision of every projectile
  • Fixed an issue causing the hair to flip at the start of a new match
  • Fixed an issue causing projectiles to hit walls when they shouldn't
  • Fixed an issue causing other player's weapon animation to desynchronize

This is a gameplay changing update. Deathmatches are no longer one-hit-kill. This will allow us to have more stats, weapon types, classes, etc.

Features:

Damage, Health & Shield:

  • Characters will now have 100 Health & Shield
  • Health & Shield will regenerate when out of combat, shield has a much higher regeneration speed
  • Tiles & Projectiles will now deal damage instead of instantly killing the players
Elements:

  • Frost element will slow the affected characters
  • Lightning element will deal bonus damage to shields
  • Nature has no specific interactions but has two subelements: 
    • Poison element will only be applied if the character's shield is depleted
    • Corrosive element will damage both shield and health simultaneously
  • Physical & Fire elements currently have no element-specific interactions
Powerups:

  • Fire Projectiles 
    • Buff duration: 8 seconds
    • Projectile hits will apply a debuff dealing 15 fire damage over 1.5 seconds
  • Ice Projectiles 
    • Buff duration: 8 seconds
    • Projectile hits will apply a debuff slowing the character by 10% for 3 seconds.
  • Lightning Projectiles 
    • Buff duration: 8 seconds
    • Projectile hits will apply a debuff dealing 15 lightning damage over 1.5 seconds
  • Poison Projectiles 
    • Buff duration: 8 seconds
    • Projectile hits will apply a debuff dealing 30 poison damage over 3 seconds
  • Corrosive Projectiles 
    • Buff duration: 8 seconds
    • Projectile hits will apply a debuff dealing 15 corrosive damage over 1.5 seconds
Weapons:

  • Blaster 
    • Damage: 25
  • Lazer 
    • Damage: 45
    • Shoot speed increased from 1 to 0.7 seconds
  • Pistol: 
    • Damage: 30
  • Rifle 
    • Damage: 20
  • Rocket Launcher: 
    • Damage: 20 hit + 80 explosion
    • Accuracy offset changed from 4 to 1 degree.
    • Shoot speed increased from 1.4 to 1 second
    • Projectiles reduced from 8 to 4
    • Reload speed reduced from 4 to 2 seconds
  • Shotgun 
    • Damage: 15
    • Projectiles per shot increased from 5 to 7
  • Added User & World stats in preparation for adding achievements in the future updates
  • Added Undo/Redo functionality to the World Editor
  • Improved the synchronization of other players
  • A lot of general bug fixes & improvements
  • 61 new tiles and new animations for water/lava/acid tiles
  • Added support for bigger tiles
  • A more advanced tile linking, with more drawing shape transitions
  • Worlds are defaulted to 100x100 tiles but now with support for expansion (will be added in future updates)
  • Lots of World Editor bug fixes & quality of life improvements
  • Fixed active players number in worlds
  • A lot of general bug fixes


Everything was completely rewritten. The update will have only a small number of changes from previous version but it will allow us to work more efficiently on new gameplay features and artwork.

  • Main Menu has been replaced with a Lobby world
  • Now you can test your world right in the World Editor by pressing T (You switch between test mode and god mode)
  • Magic Shield powerup is now absorbing an amount of damage instances (e.g. You can no longer freely swim inside Lava, as the absorb instances will deplete)
  • Added Insertable tiles (e.g. Spikes inside Water)
  • Runner Mode temporarily removed
Gameplay changing update

Features:


  • 2 New tile types: Wire and Wirable.
  • Tile properties.
  • Improved Level Editor.
  • 7 New tiles and two tile changes.
  • Wire is a new tile type that gets triggered only by objects (players and monsters).
  • Wirable is a new tile type that requires power in order to be triggered.
  • Spikes revamp from harmful into harmful wirable.
  • Door changed from interactable into interactable wirable.

6 New unique Base Tiles:


  • Pressure Button (Wire that triggers when a player or a ground monster stands on it)
  • Button (Interactable Wire that triggers off after some time)
  • Lever (Interactable Wire that can be triggered on and off)
  • Gate (Wirable that opens when triggered)
  • Semaphor (Wirable, when having power it triggers on and off with intervals)
  • Sign (A tile that displays a text tooltip when near it)
Additionally, Decoration tiles also have the Tooltip and Trampoline has the Rotation properties.

1 New droppable Tile:

  • Button Hazard (Works exactly as Button)

Level Editor changes:


  • New Move/Select tool: allows selecting, moving and copying tiles.
  • New Wire tool: allows attaching (and unattach – right click) wires from a wire or wirable tile to a wirable one, additionally supports selecting to change tile properties.
  • Existing tools improved, Grid readded, and most tools now have Alt or Control/Command modifiers (Selecting also has a Shift modifier).
  • Level borders are now editable and camera boundaries at the bottom while not in live edit mode has been increased.
  • Improved local level editor data, it will now save the camera and player position if applicable, along with other settings.
  • Added two new types of camera movement: Camera Edge Pan and Middle Mouse Scroll.
  • Restrictions for live edit mode are now completely removed.

Tile properties:


  • Color (select the color of the tile, currently only for Doors and Keys)
  • Rotation (4 or 2 types of rotation)
  • Triggered (if the wire is triggered by default, currently only for Lever)
  • ON Power (power it gives when triggered)
  • OFF Power (power it gives when untriggered)
  • Required Power (power it required to trigger [more or equal])
  • Reversed Required Power (if checked, “Required Power” turns into [less or equal])
  • OFF Delay (Time it takes to untrigger after being triggered, currently only for Button)
  • Decay (if checked, lerp from ON Power to OFF Power instead of turning off only after “Off Delay”, currently only for Button)
  • ON Duration (Time it stays triggered, currently only for Semaphor)
  • OFF Duration (Time it stays untriggered, currently only for Semaphor)
  • Tooltip (editable on Sign and Decoration tiles)
Also many other tweaks, fixes, and improvements.

Notice: Any client from now on will have proper out of date messages, any previous version will have infinite connection problems.

Features:

  • Inventory & Item Drops. (A few previous base items are now droppable)
  • 4 New Tiles: Metal X (different color variations), Desert Cactus & Tombstone.
Improvements:

  • Deathmatch Score is now calculated differently. (Kills / Deaths & multiply by 10 if 0 deaths, old Kills – Deaths)
  • Level Editor sidebar now has Respawn button.
  • Fixed Monsters, Checkpoint and Trampoline animations.
  • Fixed a bug that broke Chat.
  • A few other backend fixes.
